Nature walking: Tenku-no Torii Gate and Hahano Shirataki Shrine (approx.1hr)

Near Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchi Asama Shrine offers a clear view of Mt. Fuji. A ten-minute walk away, Haha no Shirataki Shrine features stunning waterfalls and seven sacred giant cedars, each over 40m tall and over 1,200 years old.

Hiking Magome to Tsumago (aprrox. 3-4hrs)

The 8km Magome-Tsumago trail, starting in Magome, Gifu, winds through the Kiso Valley to Nagano. The cobblestone path passes through a restored Edo-period promenade with scenic views of Nakatsugawa and farmlands.

Oharai-machi

It's a bustling town in front of Ise Jingu Naiku, with an 800m stone street lined with shops and restaurants.

Okage-yokocho

It's a town center in Oharai-machi, featuring traditional Edo to Meiji buildings along the Iseji route. Visitors can enjoy many shops that capture the charm of Ise.

Visit Ise-jingu "Naiku"

It's the Inner Shrine (Naiku) of Ise Grand Shrine, dedicated to Amaterasu-Omikami for over 2,000 years. Located by the Isuzu River, it features traditional architecture, with a new shrine built every 20 years.

Hiking Magose-toge Pass(aprrox. 4-5hrs)

Magose Toge Pass, a popular route on the Iseji, features cobblestone pavements that have withstood Owase’s heavy rainfall. The moss-covered stones make for a scenic and rewarding walk.

Walk from Daimonzaka to Nachi falls(approx. 1-1.5hrs)

From Daimonzaka to Nachi Falls, the path is lined with 800-year-old cedars and cobblestones. Nachi Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Japan’s top three waterfalls and has been a sacred site for centuries.

Visit Kumano Hayatama Taisha

    Japanese Snack Pub experience with ex-Geisha sisters

    While enjoying drinks, experience some geisha entertainments with Mon-chan and
    Micchin who speak only Japanese! Stories and photos from the sisters from the time they first debuted as maiko (the apprentice geisha still training) tell much about the history of Shingu and the Kumano River. If you like singing, enjoy the Japanese Karaoke! (Drink and dried snacks included in the price-But please note that NO DINNER)
