Day1 Tokyo arrival
Arrival, transfer to the hotel by shuttle bus.
Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day2 Tokyo
Morning: Enjoy a comprehensive guided city tour of Tokyo (approx. 5 hours), visiting Zojoji Temple, Shibuya Crossing, Meiji Shrine, Omotesando Avenue, the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge. Drive through Akihabara, then visit Tokyo Skytree (admission included) for panoramic city views.
Afternoon: Explore Asakusa, including Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street. Return to hotel.
6:30 p.m. Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and travel by subway to Shinjuku (tickets included). Enjoy a guided walk through the lively district, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.
Return to the hotel by subway with your guide.
Day3 Tokyo - Hiroshima
After breakfast, transfer to the station and take the bullet train to Hiroshima (approx. 4 hours, 800 km).
Explore Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the Peace Memorial Museum.
Take a ferry to Itsukushima Island to visit Itsukushima Shrine and explore the island, with lunch included.
Return to Hiroshima for dinner.
Day4 Hiroshima - Matsuyama
Take a ferry to Shikoku Island (approx. 2.5 hours).
In Matsuyama, ride the cable car to visit Matsuyama Castle, then visit Ishiteji Temple, an important pilgrimage site. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, enjoy admission to Dogo Onsen, a historic 19th-century bathhouse.
Day5 Matsuyama - Kotohira - Takamatsu - Naruto - Kobe
Visit Kotohira Shrine, a major pilgrimage site reached by climbing 785 steps on Mount Zosu.
Continue to Takamatsu to see Ritsurin Garden, one of Japan’s most beautiful gardens, with lunch at a local restaurant.
In Naruto, stop at the famous bridge to view the sea whirlpools from a glass-floored walkway. Travel across scenic island-connecting bridges before arriving in Kobe for overnight stay.
Day6 Kobe - Osaka - Mount Koya
Visit the Earthquake Memorial Museum in Kobe, commemorating the 1995 earthquake and the city’s recovery.
Continue to Osaka, then travel to sacred Mount Koya, the center of Shingon Buddhism. Visit Okunoin Mausoleum and Kongobuji Temple. Overnight stay at a Buddhist monastery, including a vegetarian dinner and a guided Zen meditation experience. Optional participation in the morning religious ceremony.
Day7 Mount Koya - Kyoto
Enjoy a traditional Japanese breakfast at the temple.
Depart early for Kyoto, the former imperial capital. Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) with its beautiful gardens.
Free time during the day, followed by a visit to the traditional Gion district, with additional free time to explore.
Day8 Kyoto
After breakfast, the tour concludes
