11:30 Umijigoku/Onishi Bouzu Jigoku
Umi Jigoku is the largest and most beautiful of Beppu’s hells, with cobalt-blue waters from dissolved ferric sulfate.
Oniishi Bozu Jigoku, named for its bubbling mud like monk heads, dates back to the 8th century and was revived as a tourist site after closure.

Onsen Steamed Dish, also known as Jigoku-mushi, is a method of steaming food using hot spring steam. It brings out natural flavors and reduces excess oil, making it tasty and healthy.

Yunotsubo Street, at the foot of Mt. Yufu, is a popular street with shops selling Oita specialties and local foods. Nearby, the Oita River path offers scenic countryside views and a peaceful Yufuin atmosphere.

Kinrin Lake
Kinrin Lake is fed by both clear spring water and hot springs, keeping its temperature warm year-round. In winter mornings, mist rises from the surface, creating a magical scene. The name comes from a Confucian scholar who once saw golden-scaled fish swimming at sunset.
