Behind the Scenes of Japanese Tea : Selection and Processing

Behind the Scenes of Japanese Tea : Selection and Processing

C$115.00Price

Learn about tea in Sumpu, the city once loved by Shogun Ieyasu.

Founded in 1955, Marufuku Seicha offers a special opportunity to observe the delicate “finishing” process of Japanese tea, usually unseen by the public.

Watch skilled artisans carefully sort and process tea leaves gathered from all over Japan.

After the tour, enjoy a short workshop on how to brew tea properly and taste a variety of Shizuoka teas, a hands-on way to experience the depth of Japan’s tea culture with all your senses.
