The precincts are also designated as a national historic site. Known for bringing good fortune and success, it's a famous power spot. After your visit, take a leisurely stroll along "Kamakura Komachi Street" and explore unique Kamakura cuisine and sweets.


    Visit the national treasure Kamakura Great Buddha (bronze sitting statue of Amitābha) at Kotoku-in Temple in KamakuraVisit the famous Kamakura Great Buddha located at Kotoku-in, a prominent Kamakura temple. This giant bronze statue, the only National Treasure in Kamakura, is a globally renowned tourist attraction. It stands at 13.35 meters in height and weighs 121 tons. It was made using the casting method, and its interior is hollow, referred to as the "womb" of the Great Buddha. Currently, it is bronze in color, but traces of the former gold leaf covering remain on both cheeks.


    Visit Hasedera Temple, popularly known as the "Temple of Flowers"Hasedera Temple, known as the "Temple of Flowers," is visited throughout the year. It's famous for its hydrangeas, and you can enjoy walking along paths lined with around 40 species and 2500 hydrangea bushes when they're in bloom.

It's a spot that has been cherished by people of all generations. It's famous for being a location in anime and movies, with plenty of picturesque spots to take photos and numerous local gourmet dishes.
