【Kyoto】 Tea farm tour by a tea farmer Wazuka town
We will take you to a tea farm where Massan Farm grows its own tea. We will walk for about 10 minutes from the Wazuka Tea Café, where we will meet, to the tea farm, enjoying the view of the tea fields.
Along the way, you will be guided through the history of Wazuka Town, tea growing methods, tea varieties, and other information.
After arriving at the tea farm, we will explain how to pick tea leaves, and you will have a 30-40 minute hands-on experience.
If you wish, we will take pictures with your camera during the experience.
After the experience, you will be served three kinds of tea (sencha, Japanese black tea, and roasted tea) from Massan Farm.
After these activities, we will return the way we came and disband the tour.
Massan Farm is located in Wazuka-cho, Soraku-gun, Kyoto Prefecture, which is the main production area of Uji tea.
Due to the sloping area and the large different temperature the tea leaves taste cannot be found in other production areas.
In this tea farm, we do not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers so that you can enjoy the tea leaves produced by nature as they are.
Please Enjoy the aroma and taste of tea along with the lush green tea plantations scene and mountains, while listening the sounds of birds and insects.
