This is a one-day bus tour to enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Shirakawa-go and Gokayama Gassho-Zukuri Villages (Gifu and Toyama Prefectures)", which is an original landscape of Japan that you should visit at least once! *The tour will stop at Roadside Station Shirakawa-go", the entrance to Shirakawa-go! The Gassho-Zukuri Museum, which offers free tours, is attached to the station, so you can learn about Gassho-Zukuri in advance. *Although not a World Heritage Site, the Kaminashi area, the largest village in the Gokayama region, has been newly added as an important point for understanding the history of the Gokayama area. *Lunch full of delicacies from the mountains is included in the tour.

  • Tour Inclusions

    The following expenses, which are clearly indicated in the itinerary, are included in the tour fee. Fares and charges for transportation(including tax and service charge), meals (including tax and service charge), sightseeing (entrance fee).

    • Those under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If all participants are minors, a written consent from a parent or guardian is required for all participants.
    • [Young Children (2 to 5 years old)] They can use the bus seats. However, meals and experience fees are not included. *If the child needs a meal, please apply as an elementary-school student (6 to 11 years old).
    • [Infants (0 to 1 year old)] They can travel for free accompanied by adults. However, meals and experience fees are not included, and they can’t take seats for free. *If the infant needs a seat, please apply as a young child (2 to 5 years old)
    • Kindly inform us of any food allergies (e.g., wheat flour, eggs, buckwheat) in advance. If booking for a group, please specify the number of individuals with allergies. While we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, we may not be able to accommodate all allergies. For last-minute reservations, accommodations for food allergies may not be possible.

  • Notes

    • A tour guide will accompany the tour.
    • Meal locations are subject to change.
    • The schedule may be changed or cancelled due to road conditions or weather.
    • Expenses not included in the tour fee： (1) Transportation, accommodation, food and beverage expenses, etc. for activities outside the itinerary　 (2) Personal expenses　 (3) Medical expenses related to disability and illness　 (4) Optional travel accident insurance.
    • If you do not make a reservation 5 days before the event date, the tour will be cancelled.
    • Reservations will be accepted from: 6 months before the specified event date.
    • Reservation deadline: If you do not make a reservation 5 days before the event date, the tour will be cancelled. For instant booking, please make a reservation by 5:00 p.m. on the day before the event.
    • Roadside Station Shirakawa-go is closed from December 29 to January 1. On closed days, the tour will stop at Yottekare-Johana (Toyama Prefecture).
