      [Food and Snacks]

      Food and Snacks

The 2-day Mt. Fuji tour includes one dinner on Day 1 (hot Japanese curry rice) and one breakfast on Day 2 (various noodle/rice bowl options) served through a mountain hut. Mountain huts only serve Japanese food such as curry rice, noodles, udon, miso soup, etc. If you are not able to eat Japanese food we ask that you buy food previous to the hike and bring it up with you. A vegetarian option is available for dinner on Day 1.

You will need to provide 2 lunches on your own. Lunch on day 1 will be part way through our climb and can be  purchased and eaten at one of the mountain huts located along the trail. Lunch on day 2 will be eaten at a mountain hut following the descent, where many rice bowl, noodle, vegetarian and meat lover options are available. You will need to pack snacks for each day of your climb.

      [Accommodation]

Fujisan Hotel is located at 3,400 meters at the Original 8th Station. This mountain hut is located just over an hour from the summit of Mt. Fuji and marks the final crux on the trail to Japan's highest point.

Huts on Mt. Fuji were originally built as shelter from harsh mountain conditions and offer simple dorm style accommodation.
Accommodations consist of a bunk, bedding, sleeping bag and pillow all in the Japanese style.

From summer 2021 guests are now each afforded 1 tatami mat worth of space. This means it is no longer shoulder to shoulder sleeping conditions, however, there will still be multiple climbing parties sleeping in the same room. Eye masks, as well as ear plugs come highly recommended and are provided by FMG.

These huts offer a fantastic cultural experience unique to Mt. Fuji and are a great way of meeting fellow climbers, exchanging stories, and experiencing camaraderie that you will never find in a five star hotel.
