    Day 1-2: Summiting Mt. Fuji

Utilizing two trails and a secret route, our English speaking mountain guides will lead you to the summit of Mt. Fuji, escaping the crowds along the way. Available exclusively as a private tour option, only a select few have the opportunity of engaging in this remarkable encounter of Mt. Fuji.

The trip begins with custom pick up at your accommodation in Tokyo or the Mt. Fuji area. On day 1 we climb to a mountain hut located at 3,300 meters and on Day 2 we climb to the summit and back down the mountain.

Day 2-3: Exploration and feasting at the foothills of Mt. Fuji

Now that you've conquered Japan's highest peak, you deserve a feast. Hosted by our partners at Satoyama Vacation, enjoy a farm-to-table barbecue with locally sourced vegetables and meat. The surrounding area is blessed with high quality spring water and is used in producing some superb sake and beer, available upon request. At night, give yourself a pat on the back as you gaze up at the mountain you've just summited. Accommodation is at a cozy, high-end Glamping resort.

Begin your final day with a short 5 minute drive or 20 min walk to the captivating Shiraito Falls. Then hop on an
E-bike and explore the culture, cuisine and charming scenery of a quintessential Japanese village. The trip ends in the afternoon with a drop off at the nearest bullet train station, Shin Fuji.

    • Additional information

      [Physical Fitness]

The summit of Mt. Fuji is at 3,776m / 12,389ft. If you are not used to elevation, you may experience nausea, headaches, and shortness of breath. However, with proper physical fitness, this can be mitigated. Download our guide to help you physically and mentally prepare for your climb up Mt. Fuji.

      [Required Gear]

Proper gear will keep you warm, dry, and safe. See the  required gear list here (https://www.fujimountainguides.com/equipment-list.html)

      [Food and Snacks]

Lunch is included in the tour price and is provided through one of the mountain huts on the trail. Mountain huts on Mt. Fuji will only have traditional Japanese food available, such as udon noodles, various rice bowl options, miso soup etc. If you have any dietary constraints such as being vegetarian, you will need to pack your own food, as mountain huts are not able to cater to any special dietary needs. Note that during the off season, most of the mountain huts on Mt. Fuji will be closed, limiting our options on what time lunch is provided.

You will need snacks for munching on throughout the day. Buying snacks at a mountain hut is an option but they are overpriced and infrequent at times. We suggest bringing crackers, candy bars, jerky, chips, cookies, trail mix, fruits, energy bars, and hard candies. Include some salty snacks to replenish lost salts.
