Take a 90-minute cruise on the Shiretoko Sightseeing Ship Aurora to see cliffs, sea caves, waterfalls, and stunning mountain views.

A licensed English-speaking guide will provide detailed explanations about the sights, history, and culture of Shiretoko throughout the tour.

9:20 Meet at Kitakobushi Shiretoko Hotel & Resort Front Desk

10:00-11:30 Hiking at Shiretoko Goko Lakes(Elevated Wooden Path Course)

Lake Ichiko can be reached using the elevated wooden path, which has a total length of about 800 m. It is safe as there is a surrounding electric fence.Enjoy admiring magnificent nature.

12:00-13:15 Utoro Shirietoku Roadside Station

Participants can enjoy lunch on their own, as it is not included in the tour.

13:30-14:00 Oshinkoshin Waterfall

With a drop of about 80 meters, this is Shiretoko's largest waterfall. The Okhotsk Sea and Shiretoko Mountain Range can be seen from the observation deck at the top of the falls.

14:45-16:15 Shiretoko Sightseeing Ship Aurora

Take in the breathtaking sight of cliffs, sea caves, and the Shiretoko Mountain Range while heading towards Kamuiwakka Hot Falls.

16:15 Tour Ends at Utoro Bus Terminal

    *Payment must be settled in Canadian dollars at the time of booking.

    Hired car fare during the tour, National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter fee, Shiretoko Sightseeing Ship boarding fare

  • Operation Conditions/Tour Conditions

    - If the minimum number of participants (2) is not met by 30 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be canceled.

    - 1 tour consists of 2 to 8 customers.

    - The last reception day (reservation deadline) is 30 days prior to the tour.

    - If the tour is canceled, customers will be notified by the conducting company or their travel agent.

    - The itinerary displayed on the booking screen is the final itinerary. A copy of the final itinerary will not be sent to participants.

    - This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.

    - The tour may be canceled in case inclement weather (poor visibility due to strong winds, etc.) is in the forecast.

  • Exemptions/Itinerary Guarantee

    - The times noted in the itinerary are estimates only, and may vary depending on circumstances.

    - If making plans for before or after the tour on the same day, and for those joining from outside Hokkaido, please leave enough time in your schedule.

    Please adhere to the following etiquette in Shiretoko Goko Lakes:
    1. Do not feed wild animals.
    2. Take your trash back with you. Do not litter.
    3. Do not cook or eat in the area.
    4. Do not smoke.
    5. To avoid trampling on the marsh and plant life, stay on the boardwalk and do not take breaks partway.
    6. Do not bring Invasive species.(Bringing in pets is not allowed.)
    7. Do not fly drones.

  • Regarding Children/Infants

    Young children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but hired car seats will not be provided. Children requiring seats must be booked under the child rate. If there are more than 2 young children not booked under the child rate for each adult or child customer, hired car seats are required for the 3rd child onward. Please book them under the child rate.

  • What to Wear/Bring

    - Please participate wearing clothes and shoes which are easily to move around in. Using a backpack, sling bag, or other bags that keep the hands free is recommended.

    - Please avoid bringing food as well as drinks with a sweet smell or sugar content as they may attract brown bears and bees. Water and tea are allowed.

    - The tour will proceed in case of light rain. Please bring rain wear just in case.

    - As there may be a lot of mosquitoes in June to August, bringing an insect repellent is recommended.
