Schedule

7:40 Meet at Hotel Granvia Osaka 1F (in front of elevator)

Shinkansen to Hiroshima by (Nozomi Shinkansen, ordinary car, reserved seating)

Arrive at Hiroshima Station

The guide will be waiting for customers at Hiroshima Station.
After meeting up, walk to Hotel Granvia Hiroshima.

Meet up with customers of tours departing from Kyoto and Hiroshima.

Take the JR West Miyajima Ferry to Miyajima.

The cruise offers an up-close view of Itsukushima Shrine's large torii gate.

Itsukushima Shrine

Established in the 6th century, this iconic shrine is a masterpiece of Shinden-zukuri architecture, reflecting the elegance of Heian-period noble residences. Set against the lush backdrop of Mt. Misen and the blue waters of the Seto Inland Sea, the shrine’s vivid contrast evokes the mythical underwater palace of Ryugujo.

Lunch at Miyajima (meal charges not included in the tour)

Enjoy free time for lunch on Miyajima. Local specialties include oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowls.

Ferry to Miyajima-guchi, then bus to Peace Memorial Museum

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park/Atomic Bomb Dome

Established in 1949, this large park stands as a symbol of peace and remembrance. Within the park, the Atomic Bomb Dome remains preserved as a powerful reminder of the world’s first atomic bombing and a call for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

This museum was established to pass on the tragic legacy of the atomic bombing. It displays photographs, artifacts, and personal belongings of survivors, and shares Hiroshima’s history before and after the bombing, as well as the impact of the nuclear age.

Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka (Nozomi Shinkansen, ordinary car, reserved seating)

The tour ends upon arrival at Osaka Station.

  • Operation Conditions/Tour Conditions

     If the minimum number of participants (2) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be canceled.

  • Exemptions/Itinerary Guarantee

    -The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.

    - Specific seats cannot be requested.

    - In general, JR West Miyajima Ferry will be used on the round trip between Miyajimaguchi and Miyajima, but if it is not operating, Miyajima Matsudai Kisen will be used.

    - The JR West Miyajima Ferry route from Miyajimaguchi to Miyajima will be the Otorii ferry route, which gets closest to the large torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine. Depending on circumstances such as weather and high tide, please note that the Otorii ferry route may not be possible. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Children/Infants

    Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus and Shinkansen seats. If bus and Shinkansen seats are required, please make a booking under the child rate.

  • Language Support

    Guide Language Support: English - The tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter.

    *Drivers do not work as guides.

  • Guide/Tour Conductor

    - The National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter will wait for customers at Hiroshima Station and guide them during sightseeing at Hiroshima and Miyajima.

    - An assistant will lead customers when heading to Hiroshima from the meet-up at Hotel Granvia Osaka to the Shinkansen boarding platform at Shin-Osaka Station, and when returning from Hiroshima from Shin-Osaka Station to Osaka Station. There is no accompanying assistant while on board the Shinkansen.

  • Regarding Meals

    This tour does not include meal charges for lunch. Please eat lunch on your own at Miyajima (not included).
