Day 1: Taipei Arrival
Arrive at Taipei airport, where you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Taipei – Keelung – Yehliu Park – Taipei (B)
Today start with a 40-minute drive northeast of Taipei to one of Taiwan’s international seaports and transportation hubs. Visit the Chung Cheng Park, where you can view the huge statue of the Goddess of Mercy and also a panoramic view of Keelung Harbor. Then head to the Yehliu park which is famous for its natural rocks formations in array of artistic shapes created by erosions and other natural forces. Among the rocks, the Queen’s Head is one of the most famous ones. In the afternoon, tour the city of Taipei and visit the impressive Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, National Palace Museum where 5,000 years of Chinese imperial arts and jade collections are exhibited, Martyrs’ Shrine of traditional architecture and change of Honor Guards. Visit the Xingtian Temple and photo stop at The Grand Hotel.
Day 3: Taipei – Sun Moon Lake (B)
After breakfast, begin your drive to Sun Moon Lake which is situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan. En route stop by the town of Puli. Then continue to the famous Wenwu Temple, also known as Literature-Warrior Temple, dedicated to Confucius as Master of Pen and to Kuan Ti as Master of Sword. Then continue to the Ita Thao Indigenous Village and then visit the Ci En Pagoda which was built by Chiang Kai Shek in memory of his mother. After the tour, transfer to your hotel. You can also enjoy the walking trails, biking, hiking or boating at the lake.

Day 4: Sun Moon Lake – Alishan (B)
After breakfast, head to Alishan. A leisurely half-day stroll along forested paths allows you to take in Alishan’s other attractions. The enchanting Sisters Ponds are two small pools (one with a wooden bridge and pavilion) named for two lovelorn aborigine sisters who drowned themselves there. Another attraction is the Three-Generation Trees – one growing out of another and a third from the second. Then continue to Chiayi Hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: Sun Moon Lake – Taipei (B)
After breakfast, return to Taipei. En route, make a stop at the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum known to actively plan a variety of awe-inspiring exhibitions and to research. Tour ends in Taipei.
